Dear Parents and Families,

Sunday night as I awaited the Governor's words on COVID, I was overcome with waves of emotions and tons of gratitude. The past nine months have been full of love, stress, loss, respect, kindness and dignity. It has not been easy, but I am so very proud of this incredible community and how we have met the challenge head-on and continue to make a difference.

The journey would not have been possible without the incredible commitment from my dedicated staff. The have ferociously sustained the highest standards for COVID safety. Continuously sanitizing, practicing social distancing, honoring the wearing of a mask and sacrificing their social and family life to
maintain safety at CCC. And above all they have made it not only safe to be together, but they have made it fun, joyful and creative. They eagerly met the challenges of designing an outdoor education program that continues to teach all of us that anything is possible if you believe it to be true. I am beyond proud of them and forever grateful.

I must thank all of you too. CCC would not be here today without the families who have returned their kids to our program, without the financial support of over 250 people, and without the faith of this community. We are here to stay, we will make it and we will be stronger because of this journey we made together.

I have decided, after talking to almost all of our current families and our staff, to close the entire week of Thanksgiving, November 23-27. This will give my tired staff a chance to quarantine and possibly see their families next weekend, a chance to recharge, and an opportunity to release some stress and prepare for a holiday season like we have never seen before.

I am eternally grateful to all of our families who unanimously supported our decision to close next week. It means so much to my staff. We wish all of you a safe holiday, a holiday that reminds us all that we have so much to be grateful for and the knowledge that together we can do anything.
